Escape the Heat with Disney World’s ‘Frozen’ Festivities
Good news: you can stop wondering how you’re going to beat the heat this summer! Disney World has the perfect solution: fly on down to Orlando, Florida, and chill with Disney’s coolest characters all summer long!
Starting off with a bang on Memorial Day weekend, Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is hosting a 24-hour festive event. From 6 a.m. Friday, May 22, to 6 a.m. Saturday, you’ll have the chance to meet hoards of Disney characters, dance to your favorite music, and shop for special merchandise the entire night.
Then, beginning in June, Frozen’s Summer Fun LIVE will cool down the park with their twice-daily parades featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and of course, all your favorite songs from the movie! Topping off with an exquisite fireworks display for all you ‘Frozen’ fans, Disney World will not disappoint.
Next, help yourself to any of Downtown Disney’s new eateries. Constantly expanding to divulge more delectable diners and dives, Downtown Disney—soon to be Disney Springs—offers eight freshly-opened retail locations, including the raved-about Boathouse that offers rides around a lake in restored amphicars from the 1960’s.
While you’re there, hop on over to Typoon Lagoon water park and enjoy several of the themed beach parties taking place. With four 30-minute dance parties a day, you’re sure to get some exercise! And don’t forget Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for relaxing at the end of a long day. This recently-upgraded villa now contains 300 new deluxe studios and 20 over-the-water bungalows available for you, as well as a Lava Pool and Lilo’s Playhouse for the kids.
To avoid missing the fun, we suggest planning your trip now. Disney’s Imagineers work around the clock to add exciting attractions, so you don’t want to miss them. To book your stay at a Disney resort, peruse DVCLand.com and figure out where you’d like to stay. We’ll be more than happy to set you up with a family looking to rent out their points at any of the Orlando resorts.
