Enjoy Your Right to Pursue Happiness at DisneyWorld!
Sure, it may just now be the middle of June, but it never hurts to plan ahead, especially considering July is Disney World’s busiest time of year! With the 4th of July right around the corner, here’s what you have to look forward to at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida!
Parades and Concerts and Fireworks, Oh My!
Get ready to “Celebrate America” with your fellow Disney fans over an explosive array of fireworks at 9pm the night of July 3rd. For a repeat performance, you can also view this exhibition on July 4th at 9pm at the Magic Kingdom, 10pm at Epcot, and a later presentation at Hollywood Studios at 10:15pm.
In the past immediately before the fireworks displays at Magic Kingdom, a throng of Disney cast and characters lined the streets in a procession of colonial attire, including a horse-drawn calliope and marching band, so make sure to arrive early enough to catch the pre-show.
At Epcot, a Voices of Liberty concert also preceded the pyrotechnic entertainment with traditional American songs and a meet-and-greet with patriotically-clad Disney characters. Disney’s Hollywood Studios enrolled a special in-house band called Mulch, Sweat and Shears to lead you on a musical journey through different regions of the U.S. before the big shebang.
Special Patriotic Attractions
During this special time of year, the various theme parks present distinctly patriotic experiences for self-enhancement. At Magic Kingdom, the Carousel of Progress, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, and Hall of Presidents take place inside air-conditioned buildings and offer a great overview of American history!
Epcot showcases Audio-Animatronics performing American Adventure, and Hollywood Studios guides you through a 3D Muppet film saluting world nations, especially America, and also tributes Walt Disney himself in the exhibit One Man’s Dream.
Musical Sound-Bytes
Don’t forget about the “Sounds Like Summer” concert series! From June 7 through July 4th and all the way to July 25, Epcot is hosting three shows a night featuring tribute performances of legendary rock musicians. What better way to toast to America than to show off her best talent?
