Vday 2

It may seem like we just finished ringing in the New Year, but Valentine’s Day will soon be upon us!  If you think only kids dream of a Disney vacation, think again; the Disney resorts are the perfect setting for a romantic Valentine’s weekend for you and your sweetheart.  Whether they are still a kid at heart or prefer something a little more sophisticated, here are some suggestions for spending Valentine’s Day in Disney World.

1. Fine Dining

There are a variety of exceptional restaurants on Disney property, with something to please everyone.  The five diamond-rated Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian resort makes for an elegant evening to remember.  Or, if you prefer something a little less extravagant, check out the California Grill at the Contemporary resort.  Since it’s on the 15th floor, you’ll have a terrific view of the parks, and prime seats for Disney’s nightly fireworks show.  Make a reservation at the Be Our Guest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom if you want to make your love feel like a prince or princess.  Inspired by the castle in Beauty and the Beast, the décor will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairy tale.

2. Meet Your Favorite Disney Princesses and Their Princes.

The familiar faces of the Disney princesses are a common sight in the parks, but the princes seldom make an appearance.  On Valentine’s Day, the princes will accompany their princesses to designated places throughout Disney World.  So if you’ve always wanted to meet a prince, now is your chance.

3.  Schedule a Spa Day.

If relaxing together is your idea of a perfect day, then be sure to check out the spa packages available at many of the Disney resorts.  You can schedule a couple’s massage or facials, or surprise your special someone with a manicure and pedicure so she feels pampered and loved.

4. Take in the Scenery in Style

See Disney as you’ve never seen it before!  Take a hot air balloon ride from Downtown Disney to get a bird’s-eye view of the parks.  If you’re looking for something more exhilarating, try a tandem parasail from the Contemporary resort.  You’ll soar high above the Magic Kingdom!  Or, if you’re looking for something peaceful and romantic, book a horse-drawn carriage to take you through the countryside at Disney’s Wilderness resort or along the river at the Port Orleans resort.

DVC Land is here to help you plan the perfect Valentine’s Day getaway for you and your love.  So please, contact us today to get started on setting up a magical trip for that special someone.
